I.C.E – In Case of Emergency
Thinking of nothing bad, you walk around the block – and suddenly there's that car. It goes ploink!, and the lights turn off. Yours, not the cars. So who's to tell the medics about your allergies, or whom to contact? An I.C.E. app (In Case of Emergency) might come handy here with all the data. Just make sure the medics check it (they usually don't), best by placing a corresponding note on your insurance card (which they check for sure).
Note that at least with Android 7 and up, most of this functionality is already built-in. You can usually configure it:
- in the Contacts app: Hamburger Menu › Emergency information
- in the Android settings: User › Emergency information
